Man, how fast does 1 fuckin' year go by!!

My very 1st post 4 this blog, posted on Sunday, 6/19/05, didn't begin 2 set the tone 4 what would follow in the span 0f 365 days.

I would've posted something on that particular day, but I've been real busy gettin' all of my shit straight.

2 b honset, I never thought that I would still b writing this blog 4 so long. After all, it kinda started out as a way 2 vent out my frustrations & such w/ the biz but since then, it has become so much more.

Throughout this year span, I've talked about the strip club biz: the good, the bad, & the ugly.

There have been deaths, tragedies, drama, drugs, new beginings, rebirths, secrets, scandals, missing strippers, & the struggle 2 close'em down.

Damn.

Some updates r in order.

I'm still working @ 2 different clubs in NC, though things have slowed down since the nice weather has come (It always slows down around this time every year.). I've been thinking about gettin' my own small porn company & even have thoughts of opening my very own strip club someday. I'm even in the process on learning how 2 mix drinks & bartend.

Many girls have come & gone since I started this blog.

Many have retired 4 various reasons.

Many more have gotten pregnant.

A few of the other club workers thatI've worked w/ have come & gone as well.

I didn't realized that I would write so much shit concerning the biz on this lil' blog (Over 140 posts & counting!).

The only thing left 2 do this week is 2 c how I will celebrate my "Blog Anniversary."

Players Club Drama... Again?

Damn, this club had gone thru some bullshit lately. It was even talked about in "Yes! Weekly," one of G'boro's weekly newspapers.

Here's the quote, originally written by Jordan Green:

"The weekend before Snipes was killed, police responded to a shooting at the Players Club, also on High Point Road. Stripper Longevity...

The 1 thing that people need 2 know is the stripping, or 4 the "politically-correct," "exotic dancing," is a SHORT TERM CAREER.

I try 2 tell the girls, "Get your $$$ while your body's right, save like Hell, then GET OUT!"

Why?

Because stripping is like pro sports, u do it while u r @ your peak, but even the best athletes have 2 RETIRE!

2 me, it's more trouble than it's worth.

When u get "involved" w/ a co-worker, & u BOTH happen 2 b dancers & BOTH of u happen 2 b FEMALE, well... that invites TROUBLE!

There r these 2 dancers I'll call "Misty" & "Cherish."

They met @ the club. They got attached REAL QUICK. That often happens "behind the scenes," dancer get 2 know each other, then they hepl each other, then they move in w/ each other 2 share the bills, then...

"Luv."

U have alot of bisexuality in strip clubs, w/ many girls "munchin' on the carpet" as it were.

Misty & Cherish would team up 2 do parties & share customers & everything. A a matter of fact, if 1 girl got in a jam in the club, or if another dancer tried 2 fight 1, they would come 2 each other's defense in a heartbeat. A "defense mechanism" as it were...

All was fine & dandy until...

A guy walked in the picture.

Now from the guy's perspective, he thinks he's gettting 2 girls 4 a 3some.

WRONG!

Girls that date r HIGHLY protective of each other & their relationship, @ least 2 each other's face. The problem is when they cheat on each other.

So Misty starts screwing this guy I'll call "Sam." He comes in2 the club every once in a while, so he was known. Well when he comes in, they get real cozy w/ each other. Of course Cherish sees this & is ready 2 rumble. Cherish gets in2 Misty's face & tells her 2 get away from Sam. Misty says no, that they r just talkin' & Sam was gonna get a dance. Cherish calls her a liar & starts going off on Sam.

He's not having that shit.

So he goes off of Cherish, which causes Misty 2 get on Sam's case. Well Sam's like, "Tell her we've been fuckin."

WHOOPS!

Cherish hauls off & nails Misty in the jaw. She staggers b4 she hurls herself @ Cherish. This causes Sam 2 get invovled, @ least b4 the bouncers get Sam away from them. Then they pull aprt the "Battlin' Babes." I'm in The DJ Booth laughin' my ass off (It was on my Weekday Gig.) because I've seen this happen a hundred times.



After the ladies r broken up, they r told 2 go home 4 the night. Misty gets a ride from Sam & Cherish calls a cab home. I'm still laughing because Cherish always gets like that when she's messing w/ another stripper.

DAMN GIRLS!!

Words of Advice:

If u r a stripper & u date another stripper, make sure she works @ a different club than YOU!

Here's another story about a dancer that fucks up her own $$$.


"Candi" had this older dude who was paying her OUT THE ASS!! He would tip her 100's of $$$ in the club (& more outside the club 4 "Privates.") & wouldn't tip any other dancers in the club. Hell, she got him 2 only come in when she worked!

Candi was working it.

Here's how she fucked it up.

"Bob" would always like 2 talk 2 Candi about his life & likes & such. Alot of it was "private info" & not 4 anyone else 2 know. Some old guys get like that. They r basically renting out a "sympathetic ear" 2 talk 2 & 2 share w/. There's nothing wrong w/ that, but u have 2 be careful who u tell your business 2.


Well, Candi starts telling everyone that Bob likes a dildo in his ass. Now, if that floats his boat & he's paying u 2 do it, then KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT ABOUT IT!

Now keep in mind that Bob is basically paying 4 all of Candi's bills, by his damn self. 4 example, if Candi doesn't feel like going 2 work 1 day, she doesn't have 2, Bob has her back 4 that day. If she needs a new cellphone, Bob buys it. If she need $$$ 2 give 2 her boyfriend (Which, of course, Bob doesn't know about.), Bob gives it 2 her.

While talking w/ 1 of the bouncers he's in good w/, my partner let it slip that Candi was talking smack behind his back. & told him about "the dildo remark."

Bob was real cool about it, & said that she was lying.

He shortly left the club.

Alittle while later, he calls up Candi. I don't know what he said 2 her, but it was enough 2 send Candi in2 tears.
Since then, Bob's been chillin' w/ "Sunny" & has been giving her all the luv.


He won't even talk 2 Candi anymore & won't look @ her when she's in the club. Candi, however, stares enviously @ Sunny & her new "Sugar Daddy," knowing full well that she fucked up a great thing.

There's this dancer that I'll call... Tina.

Tina is fine as Hell, but has a real shitty atitude when it comes 2 the customers & making $$$. She thinks that her shit doesn't stink.

Tina believes that the customers should bow down 2 her & just give her $$$ w/o her having 2 work 4 it (I'm sure u have seen this type of dancer in a strip club.). And GOD FORBID if a customer happens 2 touch her thigh or leg onstage while he's tipping her in her garter belt. She throws a shit-fit & expects security 2 kick the guy out of the club.


I had 2 set her straight a few times myself (She works @ my Weekend Gig.). She had this guy she was talking 2 @ the table when she starts going off on him. He's like, "What the fuck?" All he asked was the price of a VIP Dance. She said that he was trying 2 buy the pussy. "Ted" (The guy) is a regular who's good friends w/ the management, so I doubt that he would fuck up his prime spot 4 seeing strippers.

Anyhoo, Tina's like, "Get this guy out of the building!" Then she gets in MY face.

Whoa, bitch... back the fuck up!

I point-blank told her 2 sit her ass down & shut the fuck up b4 I get her sent home!

Then she was on management's ass because of what I said. I was like, "Fuck her. She's acting like a bitch & she's fucking up everybody's $$$ by yelling @ a customer."

Usually, the management would have let this go, but this wasn't her 1st time going off on a PAYING CUSTOMER, so the management told her 2 pack her shit & go.

Tina REALLY went off then, until "Jamie" (Not her real name. I'll explain later.), who never liked her, went up 2 her & told her that if she kept acting like a bitch, she would KICK HER ASS!!

& SHE MEANT IT!

Apparently, Tina fucked 1 of the DJs working there awhile back when Jamie was fucking him 2. Jamie really liked the dude, but got pissed off @ Tina ONLY instead of both of them (That happens ALOT w/ dancers.).

Tina wisely went in2 the dressing room, followed by Jamie and 1 of the bouncers (I wouldn't bother w/ it.), packed her shit & left (She wasn't fired.). Then Jamie went over 2 Ted, apologized 4 Tina, & got the VIP Dance that would have been Tina's had she not been a bitch.

February 2006 nightclub revenues were up 92 percent from the $1,055,892 registered in February 2005. “All of our existing clubs showed a year-over-year increase in revenue in February. Langan said that February revenues more than doubled at Rick’s Cabaret-Charlotte. The company has operated the Charlotte club since February 2005, and it is now included in same store sales figures. The company’s total nightclub revenues for the first two months of the second quarter this year were $3,785,680, compared with $2,038,692 in the previous year.

If u make it legal, u will do a variety of things.

1) Taxable Income:
"The Man" can get his cut w/o sending the person 2 jail. I'm sure that this would amount 2 100's of millions of $$$, IF NOT MORE.

2) Health Checkups:
By doing this, u will virtually stop the spread of sexually-transmitted diseases through prostitution. U would also quickly indentify the 1's who r on crack & such & get them out of there! 3) Licensing:
The 1's that do have their license, like any other business owner, would b free 2 do their "business." 4 the 1's who don't, the cops can still bust'em if it makes them happy. And the 1's who would get busted would most likey b the street prosties, anyway. Who actually visits a street prostitute in this day & age w/ so many professional escort services?

4) Regulation:
Any 1 w/ a legit license wouldn't b allowed on the street 2 "sling pussy." They would have 2 maintain an "office" to ply their "wares." Also, zone them in the same districts that already allow adult business, w/ regular business hours & everything.

5) Legitimization:
While it wouldn't make them any more acceptable in our society (Unfortunately), it would make their profession a legit & legal 1. Which means if a guy (Or gal, u never know...) would harm a 'business person," they would have the legal means 2 protect themselves & 2 prosecute that person. It would also get rid of the pimps who fed off them. They wouldn't need them (Not that they do now, anyway.), & if 1 beats the sh#t out of 1 of them, they can throw his (Or her) ass in jail!

As far as I know, the judge hasn't even scheduled a date 4 the next court date. I keep saying that all the city has 2 do is apply the law 4 any NEW ADULT BUSINESSES & leave the existing businesses ALONE!

By going after "The Grandfather Clause," the ruling is destined 2 fail. U can't tell a business 2 move once it's already THERE! And 4 the folks that live near 1 of these businesses, I know 4 a fact that the MAJORITY of older, established adult businesses have been @ their present location 4 a # of years & if u didn't want 2 b around them, U SHOULDN'T HAVE MOVED IN THEIR AREA!

Strip Club Slowdown...

Well it's that time of the year again...

...when everything slows down because of the nice weather. Everyone comes in much later because it's so damn nice outside.
Sorry it's been so long since I blogged. I hadda take care of some things, like look 4 some missing people in the industry. It's not like it happens all the time around here, but people have been asking about a couple of missing Black strippers. Seems like people don't give a damn about missing strippers (Especially if they r BLACK), even though they r someone's daughter &/or mother.

I went 2 some of my connects about this, but I came up empty... for now.

Anyhoo, 4 the next few months it will b pretty slow (not dead, though) in the strip clubs. People r not gonna come in until after dark, which is kewl during the Fall & Winter, but sucks during Spring & Summer (especially Summer).

The VIPs r slowin' down, 2...




But still bringing in some $$$.

Tyra Banks Does More Than Talk on TV Show

Tyra Banks really throws herself into her job as a talk-show host, often in ways only a recently retired supermodel can.

On Wednesday's show, for instance, Banks will be shown going "undercover" as a stripper at a topless club, although the former Victoria's Secret model stops short of complete disclosure. In the past, she's posed as a Las Vegas showgirl and used her face as canvas for makeup lessons.
The stripper segment, she said, was the result of hearing friends and viewers express frustration about the men in their lives spending time and money in strip clubs.

"When I found out the majority of business is from males from married homes, I wanted to go inside the minds of the men who frequent these clubs. I wanted to see and hear why they went. And the only way to do that was to go undercover and see for myself," Banks said.

Having Banks strut her stuff incognito as a dancer (named "Chanel") can only be a ratings plus for the syndicated "The Tyra Banks Show," exactly the point in a sweeps month used to set local TV ad rates (check local listings for time).

But Banks, 32, said she considers her program, which typically draws a heavily young and female audience, a vehicle to educate as well as entertain.

For one segment, she donned an elaborate disguise that turned her into a 350-pound woman and then ventured into stores and on blind dates to test people's reactions to obesity.

"I feel like it's the last form of discrimination that's openly acceptable. I wanted to experience that firsthand to share that with my audience," Banks said. She also did a show in which people confronted their phobias (for her, it's dolphins and birds).

There are further issues she wants to explore, she said, both through her show and the Tyra Banks Foundation, which sponsors an annual summer camp program intended to help boost self-esteem in girls.

Women can "have a hard time trusting each other. ... It's something very important to me to change that," she said. Encouraging self-sufficiency is another goal.

"I think that's very important, whether you're a housemom or a working mother, that you have that independence so you're not stuck in a situation you're not comfortable in for financial reasons or emotional reasons," she said.

Banks lacks the therapy credentials for such topics she brings experts on her show when the going gets deep but she's certainly got the resume of a successful woman.
She started modeling at age 15 and ended up smashing boundaries: She was the first black model on the covers of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition, GQ and the fabled Victoria's Secret catalogue.

Before she jumped into the talk show arena as host and producer, she successfully launched "America's Next Top Model," the UPN reality series which may end up with even more clout when the network merges with WB to form the new CW network.

Did she imagine her career would extend beyond modeling?

"Yes," she said, laughing. "When I was 18 years old I was doing an interview for Italian television and I told them I was going to have my own talk show. I try to teach my girls on 'Top Model' that modeling is temporary and you have to find what your true passion is.'
"And I found out this is mine," Banks said of her daytime show.

She took her last runway stroll for the Victoria's Secret show last December, finally deciding to shut the lingerie drawer on modeling. Does she regret the decision at all?
"Oh, gosh, no. I have no second thoughts. My mom told me to always leave at the top, and that's what I did."
